Notes from Mack Brown's Monday Press Conference (11-1)
Tweet- Appreciated the crowd who welcomed McCoy for his retirement ceremony as well as the families affected by breast cancer.

- The guys played hard, and there's a fine line between winning and losing, as shown by the following stats:

- Penalties last year to this year were the same with 59. 3rd down conversions last year were 44%, this year 41%. Defensively gave up 24% on 3rd down, this year 3...

Baylor at Texas Preview: Which Longhorn Team Shows Up?
TweetSo guys, which Texas team do you think shows up Saturday evening against the Big 12 South leading Baylor Bears? The team that lost at home to UCLA and Iowa State, or the team that rumbled into Lincoln to lay the smacketh down upon an undefeated Huskers team that was foaming at the mouth to get revenge on the Horns?

That's the million dollar question, and one that is pretty much impossible to...

Now seven games into the season, what you have is a young quarterback who hasn't shown a lick of improvement just over halfway through his sophomore season.

Is this the fau...

Bevo's Big 12 Rankings, Week 9 (10-26)
TweetThis past weekend Missouri showed they are for real in beating Oklahoma, Nebraska bounced back from their first loss with a big win at Oklahoma State, and Texas lost to Iowa State resulting in a rankings nosedive. Oh, and don't look now, but the Baylor Bears are in the top 25 and sit alone at first in the Big 12 South standings.

* Last week in parentheses.

Notes from Mack Brown's Monday Press Conference (10-25)

- Iowa State came in playing desperate after two bad games while we came out of Lincoln looking at the end of the season and feeling too good about ourselves.

- Six guys played well enough to win on defense, five on offense, ten on special teams.

- The team is waiting for something to happen instead of making something happen.

- Team didn't learn from the UCLA debacle.

- It's not about ...

Blogging Bevo's SPN Top 25 and Heisman Ballots (10-25)

Another week, another number one team. I never had Oklahoma anywhere near number one, I just didn't think they were that good this year, and Missouri showed why. Missouri, on the other hand, is looking pretty dang good. Good offense, really good defense. If they can get by Nebraska on Saturday, they should run the table. Overall, I don't think there are anything near the top is clear cut, t...
